From the Mountains of Minas Gerais to Your Mug
Alma Specialty Coffee begins in the South of Minas Gerais, Brazil, where our family has run several coffee farms for generations.
These farms grow high-quality beans using different processing methods, and consistently produce coffees that score 84+ points on the specialty scale.
We’re proud to source directly from them, supporting a model rooted in transparency, sustainability, and genuine family connection.
This isn’t just coffee — it’s a story of tradition, relationships, and respect for the land.

Born in Australia, Rooted in Brazil
Alma Specialty Coffee was born here in Brisbane, where we set out to create something personal and purposeful: a coffee brand that reflects our values, our family connections, and a deep respect for people and planet.
Raphael, an environmental scientist, brings a strong focus on sustainability, transparency, and ethical sourcing. Ana brings her background in architecture and design to help shape the visual identity of Alma, ensuring that every detail reflects the soul behind our brand.
Together, we roast in small batches, source exclusively from our family farms in Brazil, and focus on doing things the right way, for the land, for the growers, and for everyone who shares a cup with us.
